PEATC is delighted to announce that it has been awarded two federal grants by the U.S. Department of Education. PEATC will continue its more than 40 years of service as Virginia’s Parent Training Information (PTI) Center helping to empower families, individuals with disabilities and professionals to navigate the special education and disability services systems in the Commonwealth.
PEATC has also been awarded the regional Parent Training and Information Center grant focused on transition of students with disabilities from high school to post-secondary education, employment, and independent living. We will be working with students, families and professionals throughout Virginia, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
We are excited about and grateful for these opportunities and look forward to beginning our work within and outside of Virginia.

Announcing ASCV’S New Fall Programming with the SMOV
Over the next twelve weeks, we will be partnering with the SMOV to bring ASCV members a weekly series of live digital STEM activities. There will be opportunities to explore, investigate, imagine, and create. We will kick things off this Wednesday, September 16th with a six-week series on Animals. We’ll explore how to find animals when you can’t see them, how to help scientists gather data about animals in your own backyard, and investigate some of our favorite animal adaptations! |
