The “Get To KNOW Me” Form for Back To School

August 1, 2017 By Carissa Garabedian

All About ...
Another school year is getting ready, lsat year this was a veery helpful tool. A “Get To KNOW Me” form , to use with teachers, caregivers and anyone else that may benefit.

I decided that I stress so much each start of the school year when it comes to our son not being able to share the details that really matter in the day in/ day out happenings. I added some cool facts about him, so the staff can also get a sense of who he is, what he likes and hope to engage him during the academic year.

The feedback was great, it was used by teachers, administration and other staff. We all found it to be a great way to start conversation as well as to give the faculty an idea of what things may mean when our son may do it to the beat of his own drum.

I am including the finished product from last year here, for you to see. If you have any interest in creating one for yourself and would like a template, our friend Cole. has designed a template. Email me and we can send one over to you as well.

Wish us luck as we get ready to enter the world of High School. School is a tough place to be without Autism, so let’s do this together, all is more possible with support!
