This week has been a really “heavy” one for me. Many emotions all over the place, lots of uncertainty and just feeling so fragile.
I woke up at 3 am thanks to thunder and a child who struggles to sleep steadily through the night. As I laid in bed, I tried to pinpoint what my fears were and although I made little progress, what I was able to conclude was this:
1. So much is out of my control and fear will only stop me from making progress
2. I have to hold onto what I know and what I believe and keep striving to move forward
3. I won’t be able to fix the world ( Yes, I actually think that I can sometimes )
4. For today, I will keep it simple and keep it kind
I decided to share this with you all because I believe that I am not alone. Whether it is your child with Special Needs, a child struggling in another way, the tension our country is feeling, a pressing issue at home or something entirely different; to know you are not alone and that each day can bring a glimmer of hope is what I want to share.
So, for today, I will keep it simple, keep it kind and take a deep breath.
