Each year, Greater Richmond ARC solicits nominations from across the entire agency for individuals who have made a significant contribution to achieving the mission and vision of ARC through volunteer service, to be honored at our Annual Recognition Banquet.
On November 29, we were very excited to present our 2018 Volunteer of the Year award to Merrick Davidson! Since July 2, Merrick has donated more than 300 hours of service as a program support volunteer, serving first as a Summer Camp Cabin Buddy, then as an Adult Day Support Volunteer and After School Support Volunteer. Through his consistent display of values-driven service and the compassion and sensitivity he demonstrates toward the people we serve, he has earned the trust, respect, and appreciation of numerous staff members.
According to Day Support Program Supervisor Danny Kenyon, “Merrick epitomizes every quality that we want in volunteers and is such a great mentor to other new volunteers. I can’t say enough good things about him and I am so thankful he is a part of our team!”
Thank you so much, Merrick, for your commitment to volunteer excellence and your unwavering dedication to the mission and values of ARC!
