It is with great excitement that we share with you the opportunity to participate in the Inclusive Fitness and Health kickball fundraiser. Inclusive Fitness and Health is directed by Matthew Scott, a professor in the Kinesiology and Health Department here at VCU. We are collaborating with the non profit organization Jacob’s Chance Jacob’s Chance to raise awareness of health and fitness, as well as to support individuals with different abilities such as autism and down syndrome by providing them a space to truly feel included.
The fundraiser will take place at SCOR on November 17th from 1-5pm. Registration will be online using this link www.jacobschance.org/kickball, and you can register as a team ($100 for 8-11 people) or individually ($10). During the event, teams will play competitively against each other in a bracket style, and the winners will receive a special prize. All those who participate will also receive goodie bags to thank them for their donations towards helping these individuals, which is what this event is all about. There will be refreshments available and some of the athletes from Jacob’s Chance will be there to cheer you on. There will also be a bounce house and a 50/50 raffle to make it worth your while!
Our whole goal with this fundraiser is to get as many people involved as possible, because more teams mean more money raised to help these individuals. We know how important it is to those who have a passion to help others to participate in events that are for a great cause such as this one, and we look forward to hearing from you! Check out the flyer for more information about this event and how you can register, donate, and support the cause!
