Dogwood Dell Fireworks
Celebrate the fourth of July with music and fireworks at Dogwood Dell. Enjoy a free family Fourth of July celebration at Dogwood Dell with Carillon bells and Richmond Concert Band. Come a bit early to get a seat within the Dell, bring the family and friends, and of course your picnic supper. The concert begins at 7:30pm, just after the Carillon concert.

Hardywood has been hosting what’s arguably one of the most popular fireworks viewing parties for a few years now. And this year, they’re back at it again.
Join us in celebrating our nation’s birthday, beginning at 2pm! Live music all day, great eats from your favorite gourmet mobile food vendors, and tons of delicious draft and canned beer culminating in 4th of July fireworks over the Diamond.
Hardywood’s Independence Day Celebration will be open to the public, all ages with no entry fee. Bracelets will be available for people 21-years of age and over to purchase draft and cans — bring your IDs!
Ownby Ln. will be closed to traffic and we will have access to the field across the street from the brewery where a bounce house will be set up from 2-8pm for the kiddos!
GETTING TO THE BREWERY:
Hardywood will be accessible from Overbrook Rd. (which runs between Hermitage Rd. and Brook Rd.).
FIREWORK VIEWING:
The fireworks will start immediately following the Flying Squirrels game at the Diamond.

Celebrate the anniversary of the nation’s birth in the 18th Century City! Join Colonial Williamsburg for a special militia muster. Enjoy a salute to the 13 original states, featuring music performed by the Fifes and Drums, a display of the flags of each state, and the firing of muskets and cannon. The day concludes with fireworks visible from both Market Square and Palace Green.

A Henrico County 4th of July Celebration has taken place annually since 1981, but this year’s event will offer a later start time, expanded hours, and features new entertainment. The free event begins at 4:30 p.m. and will feature the Richmond Symphony, a laser light show, patriotic performances, and family activities. Food trucks will be onsite to provide an evening meal or snack while guests enjoy the evenings performances. Red, White, and Lights is sponsored by Henrico County and Genworth. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, the event opens at 4:30 p.m.

There is no more inspirational place to celebrate the Fourth of July than Monticello, the home of the author of the Declaration of Independence. Since 1963, more than 3,000 people from every corner of the globe have taken the oath of citizenship at the annual Monticello Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony.
We hope you will join us at 9 am for the Annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony on Monticello’s West Lawn — one of America’s most moving July 4 events and the largest naturalization ceremony held outside of a courtroom.
This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required for house tours. House tours begin after the ceremony.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and CarMax are pleased to announce CarMax’s Free Fourth of July at the Garden. All visitors to the Garden will receive free admission throughout the day (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) Scheduled activities in the Children’s Garden from 1 – 4 p.m.
Guests are invited to wear red, white and blue and bring wagons and strollers to decorate for a “parade” in the Children’s Garden at 2 p.m.

Since 1976, St. John’s Church Foundation has presented historical reenactments at the original location of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775. Professional actors in 1770s attire portray ten delegates, including Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. The delegates engage in the debates and arguments of the Second Virginia Convention, which lead up to Patrick Henry’s immortal “Give me liberty or give me death!” speech.
These events are FREE, with a suggested donation.
Reservations are available for groups of ten or more for fee, up to 100 reserved seats

Tuesday, July 4 – Gates open at 5 p.m. and the road closes at 8:30 p.m. (or when the parking lots are full.) No rain date.
