“The Richmond Summer Harp Institute helped me decide that I wanted to pursue harp as my career. I have a deeper appreciation of music because of the music history and theory classes which were incredibly inspirational. It was truly an amazing and life-changing experience for me!”
— A. M.
“[It] worked my fingers to the limit but at the same time made me laugh, inspired me, challenged me, and reminded me of all the nuances of music that I missed in staring at the notes. For the first time, I met harpists that I could connect with, who were already friends and accepted me — even more, harpists that actually liked the instrument, a passion fueled by the enthusiastic director Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia. If nothing else, I caught a whiff of that enjoyment, and it stuck with me. […] I can truthfully say it changed my life.”
In addition to our Summer Music Institutes in Richmond, we offer the week-long GreenSpring Maryland Summer Harp Institute in Frederick, Maryland July 9-13.
