This intensive 3-day training provides service providers an overview of evidence based behavioral interventions for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities.
The training includes lecture-based instruction, many video examples and opportunities for hands on practice and feedback. Participants will be provided with examples of using behavioral supports across the lifespan.
This training is appropriate for anyone interested in learning more about providing quality behavioral supports and teaching new skills including case managers, administrators, teachers, direct service providers, and paraprofessionals.
This training covers many of the skill competencies outlined in Behavior Supports Competencies for Direct Support Providers and Professionals in Virginia Supporting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities by DBHDS.
Please note that the workshop will be offered a total of 3 days (Oct. 23rd, Oct. 25th, AND Oct. 30th)
You must attend all to receive credit for the training.
