Accommodating students up to age 22, the Accelerated Independent Learner program is closest to grade level. The program is more academically rigorous than some of The Faison Center’s other programs, as it helps prepare students for community college or a four-year college degree program. The Accelerated Independent Learner Community serves students who are performing at or near grade level in one or more core curriculum areas.

The Faison Center’s unique lifespan model provides Central Virginia with its primary source of world-class services for those with autism and their families. From early intervention to adult care, we are committed to improving the lives of the individuals we serve.

“I love seeing just how much Faison changes and improves people’s lives. It is an incredible place. The students, the faculty, the clinicians, the staff – everyone works together in this magical way that develops results for the kids and their families. Solutions, guidance, and opportunities are presented to everyone, creating invaluable resources into adulthood. Being a part of that, helping to raise funds and awareness, and learning more about the Center has been a wonderful experience.”
