Truthful Thoughts From This Momma On Special Needs Parenting

April 19, 2022 By Carissa Garabedian

I decided to start sharing shorter thoughts I have about this parenting journey of ours. Sometimes I put more pressure on myself to write longer pieces and stress over not completing them and realized that my short thoughts have a lot to say!

19 years of raising our son with autism.   That’s about 6939 days.  It doesn’t ever really get easier. At times, it even gets more complicated.

There are times I may feel more equipped and a little more “ready”  but it is never easier.

I have gained strength and a louder voice. I have learned that the ups and downs don’t feel like a rollercoaster as often and I have learned that we do push through and continue on….

Continuing on is what we do!
