A year ago we were in unknown territory, so much was unfamiliar and our lives were changing daily in so many ways. As I began writing this today, something clicked- MAYBE , just MAYBE, one of the reasons I held it together , better than I expected myself to, is because, in the life I live, NOTHING is set, our days change and so much is unknown. Parenting a child with special needs, puts us in the drivers seat, BUT we do not always know the direction. We just keep on driving, bumps and all. Kind of like all that has been thrown at us during this pandemic. I think, this pandemic will figure out how to create a new “normal”, way before many of us get to our destination. No wonder we are such strong peeps!
So here we are, me and my guy, 1 year later. This Is US. Still home, virtually teaching every day. Couch bound, no makeup, half vaccinated, working from home and making the most out of it all. He makes it all ok. Am I tired, a little fried and maybe wishing for some solitude – sure thing , BUT, we have too much to do !
Here is a video of Marky that I will watch whenever I need reminding of all I have to do.
I hope you are all doing well, getting ready for a beautiful Spring and planning some Summer adventures.
