Dear KNOWDifferent Families,
So, March is here- again. I looked back at my note last year, on March 1, before the pandemic officially arrived. Now, March is here again and although much doesn’t seem to have changed, there is hope.
Hope is the word I have chosen for the year. Again.
Some of the positives :
Many are back at work in offices
Many are getting into school a few days a week
Many are getting vaccines
Many venues and businesses are opening and for longer periods
I hope this all continues in the same direction . I will share that not much has changed in our lives, no vaccine here yet and we have opted to keep Marky home until then. So, my days are still tough. Marky tells his teachers that when they talk, it is distracting. He says it with his charm, so, I think it is ok.
It is hard. I am ready for a change of scenery. Our couch is tired of us too!
I shared last month that Marky is 18 now, with this comes the working of legal papers, SSI papers, waiver papers and more- the list goes on and on and let me tell you – the headaches are real! If not for the support and input from friends who have been through this, I would have given up!
How are you all doing ? I hope some days are easier than others. The sunshine and warm weather is coming and our days are offering a little more light every day.
Remember, if you aren’t taking care of you, you cannot take care of anyone else
