Dear Dear KNOWDifferent Families,
It is November! Clocks have changed, Halloween came and went and now the holiday music is on! It all feels like a blur. Halloween is Marky’s favorite holiday, he loves to get dressed and loves to go trick or treating. He does NOT eat ANY candy, but loves to collect it. This was his first year in 17 years that we did not participate. Thanks to COVID, we opted to stay home, He has become a little anxious about it all and spent much of the day saying Halloween was canceled. I am hoping 2021 will make up for the lost fun of 2020!
We are still in virtual school and will opt to continue that way for the foreseeable future. It makes the most sense for us, although the struggles are real for how our lives have been impacted by this, we also feel the risks and restrictions are too much in the school building. I miss what is familiar, but I am moving forward and holding on to the positive. What is the positive? Well, I am learning so much about my son. I have not had the chance to see how he learns, to see what he needs and what he struggles with. I am now able to take this info and use it to better help him be successful. We try to be as creative as we can and I also get to spend time with him that I would never have been able to. I do miss my freedom to work and get things done on my own time, but, I believe that, for now, this is what I am supposed to be doing.
As you know , KNOWDifferent is my passion to help our community connect and share. It has not been possible for me in the ways I am use to, but it is my hope that in time, I will be able to add more and share more. Please be patient with me and know I am not giving up on this!
We will continue with a monthly email for now, skipping a mid month here will allow me to have a little more time to adjust to our new schedule. We will continue to update on our Facebook page and website daily. many of these webinars are FREE and offer great info. If you have one to add, please get in touch.
To our readers, we thank you for being a part of our network. To our sponsors, we thank you for trusting our platform to help make a difference. To our community, we are so grateful for you all and look forward to growing together.
