Well, September is here. Goodbye to the lazy days and less structured days of Summer. Welcome back to routines, homework and Fall Fun. It has been a rough few weeks for me but I am moving forward! We actually decided at the last minute to take a day trip to the beach to celebrate this last weekend of Summer, it was exactly what I needed! For me, the ocean and sunshine is therapy!
We moved our daughter into her apartment for her second year in college and the novelty and newness of it all is definitely over. Now it just feels like “life” and it is has been a little harder for me and Marky.
The Summer really flew by and although we did not have any major trips or big events, the day to day memory making we made brought smiles and laughter as a family, and that is all I could ask for.
Marky will start Junior Year this week, I will be saying a prayer for all of us as we get ready to send our kids back to school. I share some thoughts on a few articles below this month. I hope they may help to bring you all a little peace.
This is a pretty full issue as we did not have a mid-month sent out. Our community has a lot going on! October 5, Jacob’s Chance is hosting a fundraiser and my husband’s band will be playing, it is a kid-friendly event and I hope some of you can attend, The info is in an article below.

A favorite of mine to share in anticipation of school is the “Get To Know Me Form”. We adapt this every year and share it with the teachers and staff to have them learn a little about Marky. I think it is a great tool. Here it is for you.
I am going to start sharing some everyday simple recipes in our mid-month issue. It has been a long-time request and hope of mine, so we will see how this goes!
