Friendship Circle of Virginia, in partnership with the ALS Foundation, invites you to an incredible talk by modern-day wonder woman, Dina Hurwitz, on Sunday, October 22, 7:00 pm at Chabad Community Synagogue. This amazing woman has been fighting overwhelming odds as her husband Yitzi battles the devastating disease ALS.
Dina will share her powerful story of how she and her husband and their seven young children maintain a meaningful relationship and thriving organization despite Yitzi’s condition. This remarkable couple exude faith, trust and humor in an otherwise dire situation.
The program will also feature remarks from Dr. Scott Vota, Chairman, Department of Neurology at VCU Medical Center on the nature of this disease and current medical advancements in treatment.
The evening will conclude with an original musical video produced by today’s popular Jewish and Israeli singers in honor of Yitzi and an elegant buffet dessert.
