Monday Morning Moment- “Too Furry”

February 27, 2017 By Carissa Garabedian

Last week, Marky took his nightly shower, as he always does. We are lucky that he is independent in this and knows on his own, that at 8 pm, it is time to shower and get ready for bed.

This one night, he seemed to be lasting longer than usual and our daughter went to check.

Sure enough, he had decided to shave his legs! Yup, his calves had been shaved because, as he said, “they were too furry”. Too Furry! How do you get upset with that? Such a good answer and reason. He even shared that “his hair sticks to his pants”.

I worried he could be made fun of, but realized he was doing what he wanted without fear of that and we should support him.

I don’t always know what each day will bring but this young man, surely keeps it real and for that, I am grateful.
