Richmond man overcomes disability to give back to community
A disabled 25-year-old Richmond man is giving back to the community in his own special way through a program that has been around for decades.
Taylor Boyer suffers from intractable seizure disorder, which causes him to have dozens of seizures every day. John Boyer, Taylor’s father, said his son was born “normal,” but began experiencing seizures after a bad reaction to a scheduled vaccine.
“He was having upwards of 300 seizures a day,” Boyer said. “It was constantly one-on-one care for him at every level.”
