Who We Are
Recognizing Children’s Gifts was founded to promote and enhance the development of infants and young children with special needs between the ages of birth to adolescence. We offer one of the most comprehensive programs in Virginia, offering services in a center based environment in addition to providing services in the home.
Why Choose Us?
Recognizing Children’s Gifts employs professionals specifically trained to address the needs of children and their families. Our professional staff is appropriately licensed and/or certified by the State of Virginia and receives ongoing supervision and training in their respective fields. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of Early Intervention Therapists, ABA Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Social Workers and Behavior Analysts. Professionals trained in Autism and Behavioral Services, including BCBA’s, are available for ongoing consultation and services.
Recognizing Children’s Gifts is here to address each child’s individual needs and to help the child on his/her way to a bright and promising future. Comprehensive plans are proposed for each child utilizing home, therapeutic center-based and community-based settings. Family needs and goals are incorporated into each child’s program and every effort is made to encourage a successful partnership between family/caregivers and the therapists.
Our Mission
The mission of Recognizing Children’s Gifts is to provide the necessary support to help children reach their highest potential. Over the past twelve years, the prevalence for developmental delays has increased by 17.1%. Autism has risen even more significantly, with an increase of 289.5% (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, published in 2012). As a team we understand the calling that has been placed upon us, and are ready to answer willingly, with a smile. We provide developmental services that are individually structured to meet the unique needs of the child. We believe that a partnership with the family is a critical component to advancing the child. RCG promises to empower families with the knowledge to succeed; we promise to be your support!
