Miracles in Motion is a program designed to provide the full dance experience to people with special needs. We provide a complete dance education, along with structured choreography in a dance company setting. The classes cover many styles of dance including jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap, musical theater and creative movement. Every session is re-structured to meet the specific needs of each dancer participating.
Megan Blake has a special connection to the DSAGR’s Annual Step Up for Down Syndrome 5K and Family Festival.
When Megan’s daughter, Katie, was born in 2006, she sought information and resources to help with the overwhelming feeling of having a child with Down syndrome. Through her search, she found the DSAGR (Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond) which, at that time, was small and consisted of a handful of families, monthly meetings, picnics and events to bring families together.

The Compassionate Friends RVA will hold its annual Walk to Remember on Saturday, September 16 from 9am – 2pm. This event is to honor the love we have for our children, siblings and grandchildren who left us too soon. The RVA chapter joins other chapters across the US in celebrating the lives of the family members we loved so much in life and miss so much in death.
Behavioral Health Services of Virginia is hosting EastEnd Community Day “Stop the Violence” on Sunday, August 27 from 12 PM – 4 PM. The location is Lucks Field, 1926 T St, Richmond, VA 23223. Come out and support the Eastend Community Day… Stop The Violence Rally. There will be plenty for the kids to do, great entertainment and hot food for everyone.
