The Miracle League of Richmond Virginia Celebrates 10th Year Anniversary!
The real story is the success of our program. Miracle League National built the first field in 2000 and presently there are 275 Miracle League Organizations across the country including Puerto Rico, Canada and our newest member in Australia. The Miracle League is proud to serve over 200,000 children and young adults with disabilities.
God’s plan for Virginia began in April 2005 and we never looked back. Our field, located in Chesterfield opened for play in September 2007 with 18 players and a host of volunteers. The Miracle League has successfully provided safe play for over 500 families in Richmond and surrounding counties. Our organization has opened a door for many families whose child might have never played in an organized league. We have changed lives. We have witnessed our volunteers walk on the field one person and walk off extremely humble and changed.
The Miracle League of Richmond VA is a 100% volunteer run 501c3 charity that has built a facility with a cushioned synthetic baseball field and a playground for children and young adults with physical, visual and intellectual challenges.
Please join us in celebration of our 10th year of providing safe recreational play for many of your children in Richmond!
Yes, we are all 10 years older, but 10 years wiser. We have spent 10 years enriching the lives of so many families in Richmond and in turn have enriched our own life.
The Miracle League is excited to participate in several fundraisers in 2017. We were selected as one of the beneficiaries for the Richmond Bubble Run in September and most recently the beneficiary for the Chesterfield-Midlothian Kiwanis’s Casino Night that took place on January 28th. We had fun, food and fellowship and are appreciative of all the hard work by the Chesterfield-Midlothian Kiwanis’s.
