“Coming together for their kids”- that’s how D.A.D.S. (Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome) describes the purpose of their group. They are a community of fathers who have children with Down syndrome and are affiliated with Down syndrome associations across the country. The D.A.D.S. chapter of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond (DSAGR) is sponsoring a golf tournament on August 5th at Hunting Hawk Golf Club which will raise money for DSAGR and DSAGR’s efforts to benefit the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families through individual and family support, education, community awareness and advocacy. All of DSAGR’s efforts are focused here in Central Virginia and the several hundred families for which they provide scholarships, social groups, educational opportunities, transition support, and job skills training.
Registration is live on DSAGR’s website. We invite you to join us at 1 pm on August 5th for golf, food, fun, fellowship, and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome.
